On May 19, 2012, the Education Formation Commission of the Diocesan BEC Ministry  of the Diocese of Kalookan  launched a
BEC Leaders’  Formation from 8am – 5pm at Chevalier Hall, St. Francis of Assisi & Sta. Quiteria Parish,
Tullahan Road, Baesa, Kalookan City. Over 200 leaders and members of the parish formation teams from 16 parishes participated.

The  objectives of the said activity are the following :

  1. To offer a BEC refresher course to all parish coordinators and members of the
    Diocesan BEC Ministry Core Group;
  2. To provide a BEC basic orientation to new parish coordinators or representatives
    and youth leaders; and
  3. To equip them with organizing skills in initiating and facilitating activities for
    BEC building.

The formation program was organized by diocesan BEC team composed Fr. Rudy Abao, MSC,  Sr. Rosemary Plaza, Bro. Angelus and other lay staff.

The following were the resource persons:

Fr. Amado L. Picardal, CSsR (CBCP-BEC Committee executive secretary) – BEC Basic Orientation

Bro. Karlo Lara (Diocesan Education Commission head) – Organizing Skills

Sis. Norma Turing – Communication & Facilitating Skills

Sis. Jessie Galac – Facilitating Bible-Sharing


Bishop Deogracias Iniguez was present the whole day and presided the closing Eucharist at 5 pm.

BEC Pastoral Team.
