Cagayan de Oro Celebrates Archdiocesan BEC Family Day

On November 15, 2014 over two thousand delegates coming from all the vicariates of the archdiocese of Cagayan de Oro celebrated the annual BEC family day. Archbishop Antonio Ledesma presided at the opening liturgy in the parish church of Our Lady of Fatima in Camaman-an, Cagayan de Oro at 9 am, with the parish priests concelebrating.  After the Mass the delegates proceeded to the nearby covered court of the St. John Vianney Seminary of Mindanao. After a brief welcome, Fr. Amado Picardal of the CBCP-BEC Committee gave a talk on “BEC/GSK Tinubdan sa Kabalaan ug Bag-ong Ebanghelisasyon alang ug pinaagi sa Laygo” (BECs: Source of Holiness and New Evangelization for and through the Laity). The cultural presentation and games followed  the fellowship meal. Finally, the raffles were drawn and the winners were announced. By four pm, the delegates went home to their respective parishes.
