On October 3, 2013, some 800 delegates with their parish priests and parochial vicars coming from 18 parishes of the Southern District of the Apostolic Vicariate of Puerto Princesa, Palawan gathered in the parish church in Narra, Palawan  for the launching of their BEC “Gabay Pastoral.” The “Gabay” is a guide-book that will serve as a tool for the implementation of the BEC program in their parishes.

The assembly started at 8:30 in the morning with the enthronement of the bible. This was followed by two talks on BECs given by Fr. Amado Picardal (from 9:00 to 12 noon). After the lunch-agape, an open forum followed.  At 2:00 pm, the Eucharis was celebrated, presided by Bishop Pedro Arrigo. The delegates were on their way home by 4 pm. Many had to travel from 4 to 6 hours to reach their respective parishes.

A couple of days earlier – on Oct 1 from 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm – twenty priests and five religious sisters gathered at the Vista Beach Resort in Narra  for a symposium on BEC conducted by Fr. Picardal.
